    *LOCATION: Provo Courthouse 310 W Center St.

The new Immigration US Senate Bill:

1. Gives temporary legal status BUT with a 10 year wait for permanent legal residency!
2. Is NOT what people in 2006 were demanding for in the mega marches and also during May Day this year;
3. Requires expensive and unnecessary fines to be paid up front, leaving behind thousands;
4. Expands temporary-worker programs to entrap even more immigrants into terrible working conditions;
5. FURTHER militarizes the border;
6. Continues funding Secure Communities and Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) $18 Billion/Year;
7. Requires all employers to use E-verify;

And Does Not Stop the Deportations

With a US House proposal that is worse, what can we do?

Proposed week of actions to do this is: May 28th-31st!
