It’s been 11 years since the “War On Terror” began. Since then, trillions have been spent on mass murders of innocents in Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran. Meanwhile in the United States young people in the hopes of one day obtaining a much-promised career, spiral into more and more debt; the poor continue being poor and people of color continue being systematically oppressed.
Tampa Dream Defenders member Marisol shares her story, “My brother joined the military in 2001 not only to pay for college after high school, but also to become a United States Citizen. At this time he was a Permanent Resident and joining the military would expedite his legalization. Not only was he repeatedly deployed, his mental health suffered so much that he was eventually discharged from the military.”
When will it end?
When will our brothers and sisters stop being sent overseas in the name of “democracy”?
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
